Deputy Headteacher
We are working closely with an independent group of SEMH schools in Greater Manchester, who are seeking a dynamic Deputy Headteacher to lead one of their small, nurturing sites in Tameside, catering to SEMH students aged 11-14.
This is a special chance to be instrumental in the strategic growth of one of the schools, working alongside a dedicated Headteacher and executive leadership team to drive the vision and ethos of this child-centred group.
As Deputy Headteacher, you will utilise both operational and strategic expertise, ensuring a therapeutic, trauma-informed environment to ensure all children can thrive, engage with education and reach their potential.

Job specification:
· Full-time, permanent Deputy Headteacher position
· Tameside school: 11-14 years, complex SEMH and ASD
· Oversee development and implementation of policies and procedures
· Ensure a child-focused, trauma-informed learning environment
· Provide leadership and mentorship to a full staff team of SEMH specialists
· Salary up to £51,000, start ASAP (notice period dependent)
Person specification:
· QTS/QTLS essential
· Experience as a Senior Leader within a specialist education environment, particularly SEMH
· School improvement expertise
· Confidence to lead on all aspects of QA, compliance, Ofsted and policies
· Work alongside, and be closely supported by your Headteacher and members of the central leadership team including your Executive Headteacher and Director of Education.
