We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who will be expected to provide assistance in the high quality childcare experience for the school pupils in the period outside of educational time (7:30-9:00 and 3.05 – 6.00 pm)
At Around Childcare we believe that everyone deserves to have the best day at school, whether that's the children or the people that work with them. A good day for us is a child meeting their parents at the gate with a big smile, brandishing some colouring in, and begging to come back the next day. We have a lot of those, so we are looking for some likeminded people who want to work with some of the nicest kids in Leeds. And the adults aren't too bad either!
Based within the wider Leeds area, we are looking for some great all-rounders who really love working with young children. Maybe you have been a childminder but want to get back into a school setting, or you could have volunteered in a school and want to make the leap into education, or perhaps you're even returning after some time off. If you've got childcare qualifications brilliant, but you don't and do have loads of enthusiasm then that's good too. Around Childcare are a big mix of different people with different skills and personalities and that's why it works so well.
We're really flexible about the shift pattern you work too. Want to just work in a Breakfast Club? That could work for us. Want to only work Tuesday to Thursday, we'll consider it. As long as you pick a regular working pattern, and it slots in with everyone else to provide full cover, then we can have a chat.
The After-school Club Assistant will assist with all operations including the planning and delivery of timetabled activities, termly timetabling of extra-curricular clubs and health and safety of the Wraparound care to the highest standards, ensuring that the best possible environment and care are provided for the pupils.
