Care is Central is looking for an experienced and passionate Team Leader to join Meadowsweet Place, our Independent Living Scheme in Flitwick, Bedfordshire.
Part of the vibrant Red Kite Meadows Care Village, Meadowsweet Place offers independent living apartments with 24-hour on-site care and support for older adults. About the Role
Working alongside the Service Manager, you will support the day-to-day running of the scheme, oversee care delivery, and lead a team of Care Assistants to provide high-quality, person-centred support.

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supervising the care team
- Completing assessments, care plans, and risk assessments
- Managing rotas, staffing, and annual leave
- Supporting recruitment and onboarding
- Conducting audits, spot checks, and quality assurance checks
- Leading supervisions, appraisals, and staff development
- Maintaining accurate digital records
- Providing on-call support on a rota basis
- Delivering direct care when required
The Right Candidate Will Have:
- At least 1 year's experience in a Team Leader, supervisory, or management role
- Experience supporting older adults within health or social care
- QCF/NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or above)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
You Must:
- Be eligible to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
- Have excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Be caring, positive, and team-oriented
- Complete an Enhanced DBS check (paid by us)
