Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team. We are a industrial laundry company supplying to our customers on set routes. Routes are easy to learn as the majority of the drops are daily.
Job is currently 2 full days Tuesdays & Fridays (£120) and 4 three quauter days, Mon, Wed, Thurs & sat. (£100).
Delivering clean laundry and collecting the soiled laundry. Delivery van is a 3.5t Luton van with tail lift.
Must be - smart (uniform provided ) - team player - good with customers - flexible - able to speak English.
Must be physically fit. This is a very physical job, lifting heavy bags up and down stairs, being able to manoeuvre heavy roll cages.
Responsibilities
- Operate vans to transport goods to and from designated locations.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper handling of all items.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse personnel regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver or delivery driver is preferred.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
- A valid driving licence appropriate for the vehicles being operated is essential.
- Maximum of 3 points on driving licence
- Over 25 years old for insurance purposes
Pay: £120.00 per day
