Waking Night Residential Care Worker
Location: Residential Children's Home (Night Shifts Required)
Contract: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: £31,500 per year
About the Role
Evolve Therapeutic Residential Services is looking for compassionate and dedicated Waking Night Residential Care Workers to join our team. You will provide high-quality overnight care and support to children and young people, ensuring their safety, well-being, and stability throughout the night within a therapeutic residential environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overnight care and supervision for children and young people.
- Ensure the safety, security, and welfare of the home during night shifts.
- Respond appropriately to children's needs and any incidents that arise.
- Complete regular welfare checks and maintain a calm, nurturing environment.
- Maintain accurate records, including nightly logs and incident reports.
- Contribute to care planning and handovers with the daytime team.
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people at all times.
About You
You will have:
- At least 18 months' experience working in a residential children's home.
- A caring, resilient, and child-centred approach.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and children's legislation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A willingness to work waking night shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
- A full UK driving licence (preferred).
