This role within CAMHS aims to develop the role of Education Mental Health Practitioners (EMHPs) in the Mental Health Support Team (MHST). It represents an opportunity for clinicians who have knowledge and experience in using evidence-based low intensity interventions to develop their careers, and support the development of this new, exciting service for young people and their families.
Candidates must have either completed Post Graduate Diploma for Senior Wellbeing Practitioners (SWP) or have commitment to undertake and complete Post Graduate Diploma for Senior Wellbeing Practitioners (SWP) while in post.
This is a fixed term 1 years contact, permanent role at end of 1 years subject to completion of training.
You will supervise, develop, and support Education Mental Health Practitioners to provide guided self-help, low intensity, brief, evidence-based CBT and to deliver groups and training.
You will work closely with senior colleagues to screen and triage all referrals.
The role will also involve highlighting areas of need within the new teams and helping to develop the service and create quality improvement plans supported by, and in conjunction with, senior colleagues.
You will also hold a small caseload in agreement with their supervisor.
You will have an opportunity to work with supportive teams and committed colleagues.
