Security Systems Engineer – Technology Projects
We are working with a specialist security systems provider that is looking to recruit an experienced Security Systems Engineer to support technology-based security projects across the UK.
This is a full-time, permanent position offering a long-term opportunity for an engineer with experience in at least one core security discipline. A company vehicle is provided, and the role involves nationwide travel.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and fault diagnosis of bespoke security systems across multiple technologies. You will work independently and as part of a wider team, effectively planning and managing your day-to-day workload.
Key Responsibilities
- Fault diagnosis across electric fencing, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems
- Installation of bespoke security systems
- Planned preventative maintenance
- Identifying and reporting defects, snags, and customer issues
- Managing van stock, replenishment, and stock checks
- Providing technical recommendations and solutions
- Demonstrating completed systems to clients and end users
- Completing asset tagging and system registration
- Arranging PAT testing and meter calibration for company-issued equipment
- Accurate completion of electronic records and reports (IT literacy essential)
Requirements
Candidates must have strong working knowledge in at least one of the following disciplines:
- Access Control
- CCTV
- Intruder Alarms
- Electric Fencing / Power fence
- Gallagher Security Systems (Access Control or Perimeter Security)
You should be forward-thinking, detail-oriented, and confident working both independently and as part of a team.
Package & Additional Information
- Salary: £36,900 – £40,788 (dependent on experience, higher bracket for more of a lead engineer)
- Full-time permanent role
