Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and professional Van Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the company's reputation for punctuality. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and logistics, looking to contribute to a dynamic organisation. Must have held a UK driving licence for a minimum of 5 years, be over the age of 25 and have a clean licence.
Hours of work are 7am - 5pm Monday til Friday.
Duties
- Safely operate a company van to deliver goods to designated locations within the scheduled timeframe
- Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and securement during transit
- Plan delivery routes effectively to optimise efficiency and minimise delays
- Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times or any unforeseen issues
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance requirements
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Assist with warehouse duties, including heavy lifting of goods when necessary
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role, with a strong understanding of commercial driving regulations
- Valid UK driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience in warehouse operations and heavy lifting is desirable
- Excellent organisational skills to plan routes and manage schedules effectively
- Strong communication skills to liaise professionally with customers and team members
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy items safely
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail for accurate record keeping

Pay: From £26,000.00 per year
