About Us:
DGL Testing Services Ltd is a UKAS-accredited testing company specialising in the testing of bituminous materials, soils, aggregates, and concrete used in road and highways construction. With a fully equipped laboratory in Newington, Sittingbourne, and on-site testing across the South of England, we work on a wide variety of projects delivering critical testing services to ensure construction quality and compliance.
The Role
We are seeking a versatile and motivated Materials Testing Technician to join our team to carry out testing both on-site and in our laboratory, full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):
- Conducting on-site compliance testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt in accordance with current British and European standard.
- Providing accurate digital reports daily, ensuring compliance with established standards
- Travelling to various sites, primarily across the South-East of England, to carry out diverse tests
- Maintaining all test equipment, ensuring cleanliness, and verifying calibration status
Candidate Profile:
We are looking for an individual with:
- Ideally, experience in the construction testing industry, having carried out some or all of the testing described
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with excellent record-keeping skills
- Physically fit and capable of working on active construction sites
- Flexible with working hours, including nights and weekends
- In possession of a full UK driving licence
- (Optional but beneficial) Holder of a current CSCS card
- Full training provided where necessary
