The Sticky Wicket are recruiting for experienced Bar and Waiting Staff to come and join our team.
Based within the grounds of the Emirates Riverside cricket venue, home to Durham County Cricket Club. The Sticky Wicket Bar is the home of good sport, good food & live music, it’s a great all-rounder, serving great ales and wholesome food, so there’s no need to be stumped for choice.
As part of the bar and restaurant team our Bar and Waiting Staff play a vital role in ensuring our guests receive the highest level of customer service, so they are bowled over and come back time and time again.
As the successful Bar and Waiting Staff you will be responsible for greeting and seating customers, taking orders for food and drink, serving food and beverages, cleaning and resetting tables, answering phone calls and general duties such as stocking, sanitising, sweeping floors, etc.
We are looking for someone who is happy to work in a fast paced environment, with at least 1 year’s previous experience of working in the hospitality industry, within a bar and restaurant environment. You will need excellent time management and communication skills, be able to demonstrate high standards of cleanliness and work on your own initiative as well as part of a team.
But most importantly you will have a passion for customer service, and enjoy providing a memorable service.
Full time and part time positions are available. Applicants must be available to work evenings and weekends.
Due to the nature of the job, we can only accept applicants aged 18 and over.
