A well-established and growing accountancy practice is looking for an Audit Senior to join its Chester team. You’ll lead varied audit assignments, work closely with clients and support junior colleagues—without feeling like you’re just another number.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced auditor who wants high-quality work, a supportive team and a clear route towards Assistant Manager.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading audit assignments from planning through to completion.
- Acting as a key point of contact for clients throughout the audit process.
- Supervising, supporting and coaching junior team members.
- Reviewing work and resolving audit queries.
- Managing assignment budgets, deadlines and resources.
- Preparing statutory accounts alongside audit work where required.
- Working closely with managers and partners on more complex engagements.
What We’re Looking For
You will ideally:
- Be ACA or ACCA qualified, or approaching qualification.
- Have recent audit experience within an accountancy practice.
- Be confident leading audits and working directly with clients.
- Have experience supervising or supporting junior colleagues.
- Possess strong communication and organisational skills.
- Be ambitious and keen to progress your career.
