Overall job purpose
1. Manage the electoral services team, ensuring the delivery of an efficient and timely service and providing the highest level of professional advice to the Returning Officer, Electoral Registration Officer, candidates, agents, outside bodies and members of the public.
2. Responsible for the administration, planning and delivery of all elections.
3. Manage the compilation and maintenance of the electoral registers in an efficient, timely and cost-effective manner.
4. Ensure the service complies with electoral legislation, regulations and deadlines and ensure it meets the performance standards set by the Electoral Commission and other relevant agencies.
