As our business continues to expand, we are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to strengthen our procurement function, develop new supplier relationships and support the continued growth of our international operations.
The Role
The Procurement Manager will be responsible for managing the procurement of aircraft engines, rotables and aviation components while building and maintaining strong commercial relationships with OEMs, aircraft component suppliers, stockists, MRO providers and repair vendors worldwide.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the timely sourcing of aviation components, negotiating commercial agreements, improving supplier performance and supporting urgent Aircraft on Ground (AOG) requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the procurement of aircraft engines, rotables and aviation components.
- Develop and maintain relationships with OEMs, aircraft component suppliers, stockists, MRO providers and repair vendors.
- Identify and onboard new suppliers to strengthen the company's global procurement network.
- Negotiate pricing, supply agreements and commercial terms with international suppliers.
- Source components for both routine customer requirements and urgent AOG situations.
- Monitor supplier performance, delivery times, quality standards and commercial competitiveness.
- Work closely with the sales, logistics and technical teams to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled efficiently.
- Monitor market trends, supplier availability and pricing to identify procurement opportunities.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and ensure compliance with company procedures and aviation industry standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and supplier relationships.
Essential Requirements
- Proven experience in aviation aftermarket procurement or aircraft component sourcing.
- Strong knowledge of aircraft engines, rotables and aviation components.
- Experience working with international suppliers and aviation industry partners.
- Excellent commercial negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Understanding of aircraft component procurement and international supply chains.
- Experience managing urgent AOG procurement requirements.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while working to tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable
- Existing international network within the aviation aftermarket sector.
- Experience working with aviation trading, aircraft component distribution or repair management businesses.
- Knowledge of aviation documentation and industry practices relating to aircraft components.
- Experience using procurement, ERP or inventory management systems.
- Additional languages relevant to international business operations.
