Due to continued growth, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Trainee Coffee Machine Engineer to join our team based in Cambridge.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a long-term career within a growing industry. Full training will be provided, giving you the skills and knowledge required to repair, service, install and maintain a wide range of commercial coffee and hot beverage equipment.
About the Role
Working alongside our experienced engineering team, you will learn all aspects of coffee machine engineering while supporting various areas of the business.
No previous coffee machine experience is required. Candidates with mechanical, electrical, maintenance, automotive or white goods experience are encouraged to apply, but above all we are looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Learn to diagnose, repair and service commercial coffee and hot beverage equipment.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of coffee machines and related equipment.
- Carry out fault finding and preventative maintenance.
- Support field service engineers on customer site visits.
- Replace water filtration systems and carry out water cooler sanitisations.
- Refurbish equipment to a high standard.
- Assist with plumbing, electrical connections and workshop repairs.
- Complete all service documentation accurately and promptly.
- Support the warehouse team with stock organisation and housekeeping.
- Assist with equipment deliveries when required.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
- Deliver excellent customer service and represent the company professionally at all times.
- Work closely with the Service Manager to achieve training goals and career development objectives.
What We're Looking For Essential
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Due to our vehicle insurance requirements, applicants must be aged 25 or over and have held a full UK driving licence for a minimum of 2 years.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
- Mechanical or electrical experience.
- Previous experience in engineering, maintenance, automotive, catering equipment or white goods repair.
- GCSEs or equivalent qualifications.
