Job Overview
Electrical Solution Services Ltd (ESS) is looking for an experienced Electrical and Fire Alarm Engineer to join our growing team.
The successful candidate will undertake electrical and fire alarm installations across a range of commercial, residential and public-sector projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Install containment, cabling, distribution equipment, lighting and general power systems.
- Install and modify conventional and addressable fire alarm systems.
- Install fire-resistant cabling, detectors, manual call points, sounders, visual alarm devices and associated interfaces.
- Test, inspect, fault-find and commission electrical and fire alarm installations.
- Complete all required certification and project documentation.
- Read and work from technical drawings and specifications.
- Follow approved RAMS, site procedures and health and safety requirements.
- Deliver work to a professional standard and within agreed programmes.
Essential Requirements
- Relevant electrical qualifications, including the current BS 7671 Wiring Regulations.
- Experience working with commercial electrical and fire alarm systems.
- Good knowledge of BS 5839-1.
- ECS Card.
- Asbestos Awareness certification.
- Working At Hight
- Manual Handling
- Full UK driving licence.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional manner when dealing with clients and other contractors.
Desirable Qualifications
- Inspection and Testing qualification.
- Fire alarm installation, commissioning or maintenance qualifications.
- IPAF and PASMA certification.
- Experience with emergency lighting, AOV systems and voice evacuation systems
