Job Summary
We are a friendly, independent community pharmacy based in Netherton and are looking for a reliable delivery driver to join our team on a long-term basis.
In this vital role, you will be responsible for delivering prescription medications and healthcare products safely and efficiently to our customers’ homes. Your enthusiasm and professionalism will ensure a positive experience for every patient, helping us maintain our commitment to exceptional service.
This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a key part of a dynamic healthcare delivery team, combining driving expertise with excellent communication skills.
We are open to a job share between two suitable candidates.
Hours
- Approximately 15 hours per week
- Monday to Friday, 2:00pm – 5:00pm
- Occasionally, shifts may run slightly longer depending on the number of deliveries.
Responsibilities
- Deliver prescription medications safely and efficiently to elderly and housebound patients.
- Collect unwanted or expired medications from patients for safe return to the pharmacy.
- Handle all medications safely, securely, and confidentially in accordance with pharmacy procedures.
- Provide a friendly, professional, and compassionate service to patients.
- Ensure deliveries are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Report any concerns or issues encountered during deliveries to the pharmacyteam.
Requirements
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
- Be reliable, punctual, and well organised.
- Have a friendly, caring, and patient-focused approach.
- Be trustworthy and able to maintain patient confidentiality.
- Enjoy working independently while being part of a supportive team.
- Be looking for a long-term position.
Previous delivery experience is not essential, as full training will be provided. What matters most is a positive attitude, reliability, and a genuine commitment to providing excellent patient care.
