Maintenance Person – Holyhead Care Centre
We are currently seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team at Holyhead Care Centre, a 25-bed mental health care home. This is an important role ensuring the safety, comfort, and smooth day-to-day running of our home for both residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carrying out routine weekly and monthly maintenance checks throughout the home
- Assisting with fire alarm testing and maintaining accurate records
- General maintenance tasks including plumbing, joinery, and building furniture
- Painting and decorating (experience essential)
- Supporting the upkeep and safety of the environment to a high standard
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in painting and decorating is essential
- Practical skills in plumbing, joinery, and general maintenance
- Knowledge of plastering and tiling is desirable (further discussed at interview)
- Ability to work independently and respond to maintenance needs promptly
Requirements:
- Full, clean driving licence
- Willingness to participate in an emergency on-call rota
Pay:
- £13.00 per hour during a 3-month probation period
- £13.50 per hour upon successful completion of probation
