Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting hygienist during patient treatments, ensuring a high standard of patient care, and maintaining the smooth operation of the clinic. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about healthcare and dental services to develop their skills within a professional environment. The days we need are Mondays & Thursdays
Duties
- Assisting hygienist during the procedures, including preparing instruments and materials.
- Providing exceptional patient care, including greeting patients, explaining procedures, and offering reassurance.
- Ensuring the sterilisation and organisation of dental instruments and equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Maintaining accurate patient records using IT systems and updating files as necessary.
- Supporting patients with post-treatment instructions and answering their queries effectively.
- Managing appointment schedules to optimise clinic efficiency.
- Adhering to infection control protocols and health & safety standards at all times.
Skills
- holding dental nurse qualification and registered with GDC (NO Trainee Please)
- Proven experience in patient care within a healthcare or dental setting.
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with patients, colleagues, and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Basic IT skills for maintaining electronic patient records and scheduling appointments.
- Knowledge of nursing practices relevant to dental care is desirable but not essential; training will be provided where necessary. This role requires organisational ability, compassion, and professionalism to ensure patients receive the highest standard of care while supporting the dental team effectively.

Pay: £15.00-£18.00 per hour
