PRE-LITIGATION FEE EARNER – JOB SPECIFICATION
Salary: £24,000.00 - £26,000.00
Location: Bolton Town Centre (2 minutes from train station, with free gated parking)
Start Date: Immediate

Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Pre-Litigation Fee Earner to join our expanding team.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for managing a caseload of pre-litigation RTA and credit hire matters from inception through to the point of litigation, ensuring files are progressed efficiently and in line with protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a caseload of pre-litigation RTA and credit hire files
- Reviewing liability and preparing detailed liability submissions
- Drafting and submitting claims via the MOJ Portal and OIC.
- Handling correspondence with third party insurers and solicitors
- Obtaining and reviewing key evidence including engineer reports, hire documents, and financial disclosure
- Progressing claims in accordance with the Pre-Action Protocol
- Negotiating settlements where appropriate
- Ensuring files are kept updated with clear and accurate notes
Requirements
- Previous experience handling RTA and/or credit hire claims (essential)
- Strong understanding of the MOJ Portal, OIC and pre-action protocols
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to manage a caseload independently
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
