We are seeking a friendly and professional Server to join our team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service in a fast-paced restaurant environment, ensuring that customers enjoy a memorable dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is advantageous, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally valued. The Server will play a vital role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive table service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are accommodated
- Serve meals, drinks, and desserts efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items and daily specials to maximise sales opportunities
- Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times during food handling and service
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, supporting the kitchen team when required
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, service stations, and dining areas in compliance with health regulations
- Manage guest queries promptly and professionally, resolving any concerns to ensure satisfaction
- Handle cash or electronic payments accurately using the POS system
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues to deliver seamless service during busy periods
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant service is preferred but not essential; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are key
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic food preparation techniques is desirable
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage guests courteously
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during peak hours
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- A professional appearance and friendly demeanour that reflects excellent guest service standards
