The nature of the role
This is a self-employed opportunity, meaning:
- You have control over the work you accept
- You can decline or accept opportunities freely
- You are responsible for your own tax and invoicing
- You may work for other organisations alongside us
- There is no obligation for Calderdale Music to offer work, and no obligation for you to accept it
We’re looking for independent professionals who value flexibility and autonomy.
About you
- Strong musical ability (formal qualifications welcome but not essential)
- Enjoy working with learners of different ages
- Reliable, organised, and self-motivated
- Passionate about sharing music

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Calderdale, West Yorkshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- music teaching: 2 years (required)
Licence/Certification:
- driving licence (required)
