Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Skip Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all road safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring that all items are secured properly for transport.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records as required by company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving on public roads.
- Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the vehicle at all times.
Requirements
- Valid commercial driving licence with a clean driving record.
- Valid CPC Competence Certificate.
- Proven experience as a skip driver.
- Strong understanding of road safety regulations and best practices in commercial driving.
- 1 Year of driving experience with Skip lorries.
PPE will be provided to new employees. NOT including work boots.
