Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Assist with medication administration following prescribed schedules and safety protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Support clients with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other cognitive impairments through behavior management and compassionate engagement
- Provide transportation for appointments or errands using personal or agency vehicles, ensuring safe driving practices
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment
- Respond promptly to emergencies with first aid procedures and coordinate with emergency services when necessary
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of patient care techniques, including medication administration and behavior management strategies
- Experience in Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, hospice care, or senior care is advantageous
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for transportation duties
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for caregiving duties
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate attitude towards clients of all ages
- Certifications in first aid or CPR are a plus; willingness to obtain relevant certifications if not already held
