Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Hands on/active GANG LEADER specializing in fencing and landscaping works (including paving, drainage etc ) to join our team with immediate start.
You must hold a Full UK Driving Licence. In this pivotal role, you will lead a crew to execute fencing installations, landscape projects with precision and efficiency. Your leadership will ensure that all projects are completed safely, on time, and to the highest standards of quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to drive project success while fostering teamwork and craftsmanship in a fast-paced environment. Works are predominantly carried out within Shropshire and The West Midlands areas.
Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of workers engaged in fencing, landscaping, and land preparation activities, ensuring clear communication of tasks and safety protocols
- Coordinate daily work schedules, allocate resources effectively, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines
- Installation of fences and landscape features according to design specifications and safety standards
- Conduct site inspections regularly to ensure quality workmanship, adherence to plans, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Manage time efficiently across multiple projects by prioritizing tasks, tracking progress, and resolving issues promptly
- Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and safety incidents for reporting purposes
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading fencing and landscaping crews .
- Strong knowledge of fencing installation techniques, landscape construction, and land development processes
- highly diligent time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities effectively
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and enforce safety standards
- Good communication skills to coordinate with clients, suppliers, and team members
- Relevant certifications or training in construction management or land development is a plus. CSCS an advantage
