We are a well-established skip manufacturing company based in Somercotes, Alfreton, specialising in the production of high-quality skips and waste containers for commercial and industrial use. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit a skilled and reliable Welder / Fabricator to join our team.
The Role
As a Welder / Fabricator, you will be responsible for manufacturing and assembling skips and associated products to a high standard. This is a hands-on role within a busy workshop environment. The position is working Monday to Friday 40 hours per week plus overtime.
1 PM finish on Friday, Saturdays available
Time and a half pay for overtime hours.
Key Responsibilities
- MIG welding of mild steel components
- Fabrication and assembly of skips and containers
- Reading and working from technical drawings
- Operating fabrication machinery and tools safely
- Carrying out quality checks on completed work
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
- Supporting other areas of production as required
Requirements
- Proven experience in MIG welding and fabrication
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Good timekeeping and reliability
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Previous experience in manufacturing or heavy fabrication (desirable but not essential)
