Overview
Join our Mexican kitchen as a Hand/Cook and become an important part of creating authentic mexican dining experiences! This energetic role offers the opportunity to develop your culinary skills, assist in food preparation, and ensure the smooth operation of our busy kitchen. A passion for great food and drink is essential, along with experience in a commercial kitchen environment. knowledge of Mexican cuisine is not necessary as you will work alongside our senior chefs and training will be given.

Duties
- Assist with food preparation by chopping, peeling, and organizing ingredients to ensure efficient meal service
- Support the cooking process by following recipes and instructions from senior kitchen staff
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including dishwashing and sanitizing workstations
- Ensure food safety protocols are adhered to at all times, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
- Help with serving food to customers or guests in a timely and professional manner
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to keep the kitchen well-equipped for daily operations
- Support the team during busy periods by managing multiple tasks efficiently and maintaining a positive attitude
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and cooking methods
- Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong teamwork skills with a proactive approach to assisting colleagues
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards serving customers and supporting the kitchen team
Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
