Retail Assistant – Shop Around the Clock (St Michaels)

Shop Around the Clock is a proudly independent, medium-sized convenience store located in St Michaels. As we continue to grow, we’re looking for friendly, reliable individuals to join our dedicated team.
Main Responsibilities
- Operate the till and handle customer transactions accurately
- Provide outstanding customer service – always greet customers with a smile, make eye contact, and offer assistance when needed
- Replenish stock across key areas including soft drinks, dairy, alcohol, and general groceries
- Keep all areas of the store clean, tidy, and well-presented
- Assist with deliveries and restocking shelves
- Maintain high store standards at all times
Full training will be provided.

- Friendly and approachable, with excellent communication skills
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours
- Able to work a variety of shift patterns as needed throughout the week, including weekends
- Works well both independently and as part of a team
Shift Patterns
- Morning: 07:00 – 12:00
- Midday: 12:00 – 17:00
- Evening: 17:00 – 21:00
You must be available for at least one weekend shift on alternate weekends.
15 - 20 hours available per week.
Minimum 15 hours per week (3 shifts)
Pay
Pay rate is based on age and previous experience.
Due to the nature of this role, which includes working with age-restricted products such as alcohol and tobacco, applicants must be 18 years of age or older.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: From £12.85 per hour
