Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Community Care Workers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in their homes and care facilities. This role involves delivering personalised care to enhance the wellbeing and independence of clients, including elderly individuals, those with chronic illnesses, or persons requiring specialised support such as dementia or Alzheimer's care. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives through attentive caregiving and professional support.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Provide medication administration and ensure adherence to prescribed routines
- Support with meal preparation, feeding, and nutrition management
- Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental wellbeing
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Support clients with activities of daily living in assisted living or home care settings
- Manage behaviour effectively, especially in clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease
- Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required
- Follow care plans accurately and document all relevant observations and actions
- Respond promptly to emergencies, including administering first aid when necessary
Experience
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care environments is preferred
- Knowledge of patient care techniques, including dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care
- Experience with medication administration and medication management protocols
- Familiarity with behaviour management strategies for individuals with cognitive impairments
- Physically fit and able to assist with mobility needs
- Valid driving licence and business car insurance is essential for transportation duties
- Certification in first aid or CPR is desirable but not essential; training can be provided for successful applicants. All applicants must be willing to complete the training.

Pay: £15.00-£15.50 per hour
