King James’s School is seeking a committed and practical Caretaker/Handyperson to join our dedicated Site Team and play a vital role in maintaining our vibrant school environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys a varied role, and wants to make a real difference to the daily experience of students, staff and visitors.
As a key member of the premises team, you will help ensure our school remains safe, secure, welcoming and well-maintained. From carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance to supporting the smooth operation of school events and ensuring the site is ready for learning each day, your work will have a visible impact across the school.
The role includes responsibility, on a rota basis, for opening the school site at weekends and securing the premises at the end of the day, including locking buildings and setting alarms. Flexibility will be required to support the wider site team and provide cover during periods of after school lettings, absence and busy operational periods.
