About the Role
We are looking to expand our team and add a FOH Supervisor to run our evening service. Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings - 26hrs/week + cover. This is a supervisory position for somebody with hospitality management experience only, the successful candidate must be ready to hit the ground running.
We are looking for someone with a friendly, hard-working, can-do attitude with initiative and drive. We are a busy team, but independence and initiative are valued highly. We are looking for someone to see what needs to be done and complete tasks with no prompts.
Supervisory roles
- Lead a team of evening staff, servers and bartenders
- Head up evening events bookings, organisation, and advertising alongside FOH management
- Light admin duties
- Report to FOH Manager and Co-Owners
As well as supervising a team, the role involves table service, including:
- Greeting customers
- Taking orders accurately at the tableside
- Excellent knowledge of hygiene and allergen procedures
- Use of a till
- Delivery of food items to the table
- Menu knowledge
Plus other FOH duties, such as:
- Cleaning
- Stock rotation
- Ordering
- Barista
- Bartender
- Light pot washing duties
Requirements
Our weekend front of house team delivers exceptional customer service during our busiest service periods. We are looking for an experienced supervisor to join our team and deliver that same high standard of service.
REQUIRED:
- 18+.
- Table service experience in a restaurant (or similar).
- Hospitality supervisor/management experience (or similar - please specify).
- Friendly and reliable.
- Committed to working every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, every week.
- Able to work confidently and independently in a busy, fast-paced environment.
- Able to be on feet for long periods of time. Ugly Mug spans 3 floors, so many trips up and down stairs all day.
DESIRABLE:
- Flexibility to cover occasional weekday shifts.
About the Company
Ugly Mug is an independent bistro in Wellingborough town centre, open 7 days a week.
- We serve coffee, cake, breakfast and lunch daily, plus afternoon teas, bottomless brunch, evenings, tapas, cocktails and private events.
Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 26.0 per week
