Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to children on 12 hour shift patterns, 8am - 8pm / 8pm - 8am assisting with daily activities and ensuring a safe, nurturing environment. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to implement boundaries, clear informative person centred care effectively, making a positive impact on the young people we serve.

- Must have a Driving License
- First spoken language must be English
Duties
- Provide direct support to 1 child at any one given time, assisting with daily routines and activities.
- Develop and implement individual care plans tailored to each child's needs.
- Foster a supportive and encouraging environment that promotes emotional well-being.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with the child and other professionals involved in care.
- Document progress and any changes in behaviour or circumstances accurately.
- Assist with transportation as needed, ensuring safe travel for children to appointments or activities.
- Utilise IT skills for keeping logs and communication purposes.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children is not essential however, demonstrating a strong understanding of their needs is essential.
- A background in childcare or related fields is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to drive safely and responsibly, holding a valid driving licence.
- Familiarity with developing and implementing care plans is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills are crucial for effective interaction with children.
