As our business continues to grow and our project portfolio expands, we are looking to recruit an experienced Demolition Contracts Manager to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to manage a diverse range of demolition projects across Scotland, lead site teams, build strong client relationships and play a key role in the continued growth and success of the business.
Job Description
- Responsible for the overall day to day management and operation of the site teams
- Assist commercial team with method, programme and pricing for complex projects.
- Writing of method statements, risk assessments and project plan in conjunction with commercial team costings/budget.
- Schedule demolition works, including pre-start site visits, completing equipment lists, setting up suppliers/sub-contractors for project and meeting all H&S/Welfare requirements for project.
- Carrying out Supervisor/Site Manager handover and liaising with site team to ensure completion within programme/budget.
- Daily communication with contracts staff and customers or their representatives as appropriate to effectively plan, co-ordinate and programme the works.
- Liaise with Management to allocate correct labour/equipment resource across current and future projects.
- Ensure projects run safely and on-time, ensuring profitability.
- Cost control and site quality checks and audits. · Liaising with Management to ensure site team training is maintained as required.
- Attend weekly/monthly management meetings.
- All other duties as required.
- Assist the Directors in the preparation of an annual budget and business plan/strategy.
Essential Attributes:
- 10+ years' experience in similar role
- Evidence of required certifications
- Experience in Management Role
- Completed Asbestos Awareness Training
- Completed Contracts Manager Course
- Extensive knowledge of Health & Safety policies and procedures
- Leadership qualities
- Attention to detail
- Knowledge of appropriate tools and equipment
- Ability to lead and work to company budgets
- Full Driving License
Desirable:
- Experience in ancillary trades
- Expereince in health and safety role
- H&S (5 year) qualification)
- Experience working with asbestos
