Duties
- Lead and supervise a team of nursery staff, providing guidance, support, and motivation to ensure excellent childcare delivery
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that stimulate learning, creativity, and social development
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about each child's progress, needs, and achievements
- Monitor daily routines including feeding, napping, and hygiene to ensure consistency and comfort for children
- Conduct regular staff meetings to coordinate activities, share feedback, and promote professional growth
- Ensure compliance with early childhood education standards and local childcare regulations
Requirements
- Proven management and leadership experience within a nursery or early childhood setting
- Extensive experience working with children in childcare or nursery environments
- Strong knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages
- Excellent communication skills in English to engage with children, parents, and team members effectively
- Ability to organize, plan, and lead activities that support children's learning journeys
- Valid childcare qualifications such as NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent (or higher)
- A valid driving license is preferred to facilitate transportation needs if required
