Hours: 4 hour contract, plus additional hours available for holiday and sickness cover.
Availability windows required
Monday– Saturday: 15.00 –22:10
Saturday: 09:00 - 22.05
Sunday: 09:00–22:05
The above are the times during the week we would like you to be available to work. Your contracted hours will be scheduled within these availability windows.
As a small, family-run business, we work closely as one team and need colleagues who are flexible and willing to support the wider business. The successful candidate must be able to work across both of our stores as required and be comfortable working independently, including lone working. Flexibility, teamwork and a willingness to support colleagues are key to this role.
All positions require flexibility to work additional hours where needed, particularly to cover sickness and holidays.

Job Role
As a Sales Assistant, you will play an important part in our small team, helping to ensure both stores are well stocked, clean, tidy and provide fantastic customer service.
You will need to be able to work independently and use your own initiative, while also being a supportive team member who is willing to help colleagues and work flexibly across both locations.
Responsibilities
- Till operation in line with company procedures, including accurate scanning and cash handling.
- Provide fantastic customer service.
- Till point selling.
- Ensure stock is replenished efficiently and faced up to a high standard.
- Ensure correct product pricing and stock rotation.
- Complete daily tasks to maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and safety.
- Follow company policies and procedures at all times.
- Use your own initiative to keep busy and ensure tasks are completed.
- Work as part of a close-knit team to maximise efficiency during each shift.
- Adhere to the Challenge 25 Policy when selling alcohol and age-restricted products.
- Be confident enough to deal appropriately with incidents of shoplifting, in line with company procedures.
- Be flexible to cover shifts, including sickness and holidays.
- Be willing and able to work across both of our stores as required.
- Be comfortable working independently, including lone working where required.
Essential Skills or Experience
- Ability to provide excellent customer service, ideally with experience in licensed or food retail.
- Till experience and cash-handling skills.
- Flexibility to work across both store locations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a small, close-knit team.
- Flexible to cover shifts for sickness and holidays.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £10.85-£12.71 per hour
