Join Our Friendly Primary Care Team
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our busy and supportive GP practice team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a registered Pharmacy Technician who is passionate about improving patient care and supporting the safe and effective use of medicines in primary care.
Working closely with our GPs, Clinical Pharmacist, nurses, and wider administrative team, you will play a key role in medicines optimisation, prescription management, medication reconciliation, and patient support.
Main Duties Include:
- Supporting the management of repeat prescriptions.
- Completing medicines reconciliation following hospital discharge.
- Responding to medication-related queries from patients and healthcare professionals.
- Working with the clinical team to improve prescribing quality and safety.
- Identifying patients requiring medication reviews and monitoring.
- Supporting medicines optimisation initiatives and audits.
- Maintaining accurate patient medication records.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Is a qualified and GPhC-registered Pharmacy Technician.
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Works well independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Has a strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
- Is confident using IT systems and adapting to new ways of working.
- Ideally has experience working within primary care or general practice, although this is not essential.
