Experienced Chef / Cook
Hake Inn Fish & Chip Shop – Hakin, Milford Haven
We are looking for an experienced and reliable Chef/Cook to join our busy, established fish & chip shop.
This position would suit someone with genuine experience working in a commercial kitchen who is confident preparing and cooking food independently.
You do not need previous fish & chip shop experience, as training can be given on our frying methods and equipment. However, applicants must already have good general cooking skills and commercial kitchen experience.
The role will include:
- Preparing and cooking food for a busy evening service
- Working alongside our existing fryer and kitchen team
- Food preparation before service
- Maintaining consistent food quality and portion standards
- Working efficiently and keeping your area clean and organised
- Cleaning down as you work and helping the team complete the end-of-night clean
- Assisting with the development and preparation of additional menu items
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has previous commercial kitchen experience
- Can genuinely cook and prepare food confidently
- Is reliable and punctual
- Works quickly and calmly during busy services
- Has good initiative and doesn’t need constant supervision
- Takes pride in producing consistently good food
- Is a team player and willing to help wherever needed
This is an evening position in a busy but friendly independent business.
Hours and days can be discussed with the successful applicant.
Good rate of pay for the right person, depending on experience.
