The post holder will assist the effective delivery of the University’s end-to-end Accounts Receivable (AR) function, ensuring timely and accurate management of various income streams. They will provide day‑to‑day leadership, act as an operational escalation point, and oversee the resolution of complex queries. They will contribute to continuous improvement, service excellence, and compliance with institutional and sector regulations.
The post holder will report to the Accounts Receivable Manager and will positively contribute to the delivery of a consistent, high-quality service, ensuring that AR is efficient, customer-focused and aligned with institutional priorities. Key relationships will need to be managed through liaison with support areas, internal departments and government bodies and you will need to be an excellent communicator with proven experience in analytical skills and problem solving.
The post holder will be responsible for the operational activities of the Accounts Receivable (AR) function. This includes line management of some of the AR team members, and all the tasks required to deliver a high-quality AR service to all stakeholders. All activities to be executed and delivered as per the policies of the University and standards set by the Head of Financial Operations. You will deputise for the Accounts Receivable Manager and will maintain certain key AR processes.
The post holder will need proven systems experience with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. They must demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills and be confident in their ability to inspire and encourage the team to succeed. Previous experience in management of financial accounts, cash management and credit control are essential together with a continuous, innovative, and cultural improvement approach underpinned by excellent service provision.
