M&S Butcher Equipment is a well-established supplier of professional butchery, catering and food preparation equipment. With over 30 years of industry experience, we supply everything from knives, butcher blocks and accessories to bandsaws, mincers, vacuum packers and other commercial machinery.
We are looking for a confident, motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our growing team in Birmingham.
The Role
You will be responsible for developing new business, looking after existing customers and helping grow sales across our product range.
The ideal candidate will be confident speaking to customers both over the phone and face-to-face, comfortable following up leads and able to build strong long-term relationships with businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Contact potential new customers and generate new business
- Follow up website, telephone and email enquiries
- Build relationships with butcher shops, restaurants, wholesalers, farm shops and other food businesses
- Manage and develop existing customer accounts
- Introduce customers to relevant products and equipment
- Prepare and follow up quotations
- Contact previous customers regarding repeat orders and new products
- Promote our trade accounts and bulk purchasing options
- Keep accurate records of leads, quotations and customer conversations
- Work towards individual and company sales targets
- Work closely with the wider M&S Butcher Equipment team to provide excellent customer service
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in sales
- Confident and professional telephone manner
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable approaching new businesses
- Able to follow up leads consistently and turn enquiries into sales
- Organised and able to manage multiple customers and quotations
- Good basic computer and email skills
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn our product range
