M&S Butcher Equipment is an established supplier of professional butchery, catering and food preparation equipment. We supply everything from knives and butcher blocks to mincers, bandsaws, vacuum packers and other commercial machinery.
We are looking for a confident and motivated Sales Assistant to join our growing team in Birmingham.
The Role:
You will be responsible for helping customers with enquiries, following up sales opportunities and supporting the day-to-day running of the sales department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Answer customer enquiries by phone, email and WhatsApp
- Follow up quotations and potential customers
- Prepare quotations and customer orders
- Make outbound sales calls when required
- Help customers choose suitable products and equipment
- Build relationships with new and existing customers
- Promote additional products and trade account options
- Keep customer and sales records up to date
- Liaise with suppliers regarding prices, stock and lead times
- Provide a high level of customer service

- Previous sales or customer service experience preferred
- Confident speaking to customers on the phone
- Friendly, professional and organised
- Strong communication
- Self-motivated and willing to learn
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
