Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Part-Time Cook/Second Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. Responsibilities
- Assist the head chef in preparing a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Handle food preparation tasks efficiently, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations at all times
- Support in cooking and serving meals during busy service periods, ensuring timely delivery
- Follow proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure freshness
- Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying the team of supplies needed
- Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating effectively with kitchen staff and serving personnel
Experience
- Previous experience working in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are highly valued
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen safety protocols
- Experience in meal preparation and serving in a fast-paced environment is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices is essential
- Prior culinary experience or training can enhance your ability to succeed in this role
