We are looking for a meticulous kitchen gardener to join a small team on a private estate, to grow fruit, vegetables and salad items for the family, ensuring a continuous supply throughout the season.
Responsibilities, alongside other team members, will include:
Maintaining growing areas in line with organic procedures, including the large fruit cage, glass houses and a poly tunnel.
Keeping all work areas and equipment tidy and infection free, to ensure a good harvest.
Conform to all H&S procedures on site and attend organized training as appropriate.
Assisting with other estate duties, including but not limited to grass cutting, hedge trimming, fence repairs, clearing leaves and fallen branches, as instructed by the Estate Manager.
You will occasionally need to work under your own initiative.
Desired but not essential, a full clean driving licence as driving of the estate vehicle may be required (over 25s only).
Working hours are 08:00 to 16:30 Monday to Friday with an hour break. Occasional weekend work.
24 days holiday per year.
Pay: £25,420.00-£28,000.00 per year
