Fox Excel is a 1,200-capacity gastro pub, bar, restaurant and events venue next to ExCeL London. We feed large crowds on tight timelines, regularly turning over high-volume covers for exhibition, conference and consumer events. The kitchen runs hard.
We're looking for an Assistant Kitchen Manager who can hold the pass, lead a section, and step up when the Head Chef needs cover. This is a role for someone who has worked volume and enjoyed it, not survived it.
What you'll do:
- Support the Head Chef across day-to-day kitchen operations and event delivery
- Run the pass and manage service when required
- Oversee prep, stock rotation, ordering and waste control
- Lead, train and hold the team to standard
- Own food safety compliance and kitchen hygiene records
What we need:
- Solid background in high-volume or events catering
- Experience in a supervisory or senior kitchen role
- Someone who can manage people and pressure at the same time
- Food Safety Level 3 (or working towards it)
