Minibus Driver — Independent Specialist College
Rotherham | £13.90 per hour | 20–25 hours per week | Term time only
We are seeking a reliable and caring Minibus Driver to transport young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities safely between home and our specialist college.
Normal hours are split shifts, Monday to Friday:
- Approximately 7.00am–9.30am
- Approximately 2.45pm–4.45pm
You will need to be a safe and confident driver with a full, valid UK driving licence appropriate for the vehicle. You must be punctual, patient and able to communicate sensitively with young people, families and college staff.
Experience of minibus driving or supporting young people with SEND is desirable, but applicants with the right values and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
MiDAS or equivalent training and mandatory training will be provided. This will include safeguarding, first aid, health and safety, disability awareness and other relevant training.
The successful candidate will be subject to safer-recruitment checks, including an Enhanced DBS check with the appropriate barred-list information. They will be required to register with and remain subscribed to the DBS Update Service in accordance with college policy.
