My Homecare Bradford is looking for compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join our growing team. We provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to individuals in their own homes, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.
As a Support Worker, you will play an important role in supporting people with their daily living needs, promoting dignity, choice, respect, and independence while delivering outstanding care within the community.
Duties
- Providing personal care and support where required
- Assisting with cooking and meal preparation
- Supporting with household tasks, including cleaning and laundry
- Providing companionship and emotional support
- Assisting clients to follow their daily routines and individual care plans
- Supporting with medication prompts where required
- Encouraging independence and promoting wellbeing
- Assisting with shopping and accessing the local community
- Maintaining accurate care records using IT systems
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Promoting a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment
Experience
- Previous experience in home care or a care setting is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided.
- A driving licence is desirable for travelling between client visits.
- Good understanding of following care plans and working independently.
- Basic IT skills for completing care documentation.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Excellent communication skills, with empathy, patience, and a caring attitude.
