As Shop Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day running of our large-format Burslem store. You'll lead and inspire a team of staff and volunteers, maximise sales, control costs, and ensure the shop provides an exceptional shopping and donating experience.
You'll play a key role in achieving income targets while maintaining high standards of presentation, compliance, and customer care.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Superstore, including stock management, pricing strategies, and merchandising.
- Oversee donation processing procedures, ensuring compliance with regulations and maximising Gift Aid potential.
- Implement effective sales and marketing initiatives to drive foot traffic and increase income.
- Recruit, train, develop and manage a team of staff and volunteers, fostering a positive work environment and promoting teamwork.
- Provide ongoing coaching and development opportunities to enhance employee performance and customer satisfaction.
- Deal with customer enquiries, feedback, and complaints promptly and professionally, striving to exceed expectations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, to create a safe environment for staff and customers.
- Uphold retail processes and procedures, including adherence to Health & Safety, Trading Standards, Gift aid and GDPR regulations.
