Working from one of our offices in the North East, from home and the community
Home, a place where you belong
This new Building Safety Manager role in our Building Safety Team gives you the chance to shape how safety is done from the start. It’s hands-on, meaningful work that helps protect our customers and gives them peace of mind in the place they call home.
You’ll lead safety work across our higher-risk residential buildings, using your technical knowledge to guide decisions, manage risks and make sure we meet the standards set out in the Building Safety Act. This isn’t just about ticking boxes. It’s about understanding what people need to feel safe and making sure that’s what they get. You’ll work across your region, building strong relationships with colleagues and helping to join the dots between regulation, real life and what matters most to customers.
What you’ll do
- Lead Building Safety Cases end to end, keeping them accurate and up to date.
- Use fire risk assessments to identify risks and recommend proportionate actions.
- Oversee inspections, remediation work and post‑works checks to agreed standards.
- Embed building safety into daily practice across housing and delivery teams.
- Support customers through walkabouts and meetings with clear, honest communication.
Why join us
You will have the trust and autonomy to do the right thing, backed by a supportive team that values expertise and collaboration. Your work will have visible impact on customers and communities, not just compliance reports. We invest in wellbeing, flexibility and long‑term careers so you can do your best work and keep growing. Be part of one of the UK’s Great Places to Work! We can’t offer a CoS for this role
You have

- Strong working knowledge of FRA, FRAEW and PAS 9980 to prioritise action.
Stronger together
We do our best work when we’re ourselves. That’s why inclusion, wellbeing, and our diversity networks help make Home Group a great place to work!

- You need a BASIC DBS check that we pay for.
