Job Summary
Blue Door Hospitality is looking for an organised, experienced guest relations & digital media manager, who is outgoing, able to build relationships with customers and the team, hands-on all-rounder ensuring events are executed smoothly and professionally from start to finish and to oversee and enhance our online presence. Taking control and ensuring all task and deadlines are completed successfully.
This is a newly combined role is for someone who loves bringing people together, can spot and convert a commercial opportunity, and create compelling and original content tailored to each pub.
You'll be the face of our events, the engine behind our social media presence, the bond between the 2 pubs and a visible, collaborative presence across the floor , not just an office-based planner.
Duties
- Create compelling and original content tailored to each platform, including text, images, videos, and infographics.
- Monitor social media channels for comments, messages, and engagement opportunities; respond promptly and professionally.
- Stay informed on emerging social media trends, tools, and best practices to keep the organisation at the forefront of digital innovation.
- Collaborate with team to ensure brand consistency across all digital channels.
- Manage large parties and events, both internal and external, actively promoting and representing Blue Door Hospitality.
- Manage all events platforms (e.g. Eventbrite, Giggster, The Fork or similar), proactively identifying and pursuing opportunities for events to maximise sales.
- Identify and exploit new commercial opportunities, including associated advertising, handouts, design and printing.
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, event agencies and suppliers to generate repeat and referral event business.
- Support service and reception during events and busy periods, working hands-on alongside the team — on the floor, on reception, or wherever needed.

Skills
- Previous proven track record across media, marketing, events and hospitality.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Outgoing, fun and professional attitude.
- Strong digital and computer skills, with confidence managing multiple platforms and pages (Eventbrite, Giggster, The Fork or similar).
- Fully capable of producing original design work and content for social media (Instagram, Facebook, and potentially TikTok), with a good understanding of different age groups and their communication requirements. Building strong and engaging content.
- Hospitality experience preferred — comfortable dealing with parties hands-on, and willing to jump in to help with service as required (reception or operational duty).
- Flexibility to work across both sites and to be present for evening and weekend/ Bank Holidays events as the role demands.
Pay: £35,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
