Job Overview
We are seeking a Site Manager to lead and oversee a civils project in the rail sector specifically drainage and concrete works.
You will coordinate teams, manage resources, and ensure that all project milestones are achieved safely, efficiently, and within scope. Your leadership will drive project success, foster collaboration among stakeholders, and uphold the highest standards of quality. Duties
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily site operations to ensure timely progress and adherence to project schedules.
- Update, and monitor project timelines, resource allocations, and critical path activities.
- Assist in updating the programme
- Manage on-site teams including subcontractors and suppliers
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality control, and safety protocols; address any issues promptly.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work activities, safety reports, change orders, and progress updates for transparency and accountability.
- Foster effective communication among clients, engineers, contractors, and internal teams to facilitate seamless project execution.
- Attend briefings and progress meetings with the client
Experience
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or similar leadership role in construction or infrastructure projects / rail sector.
- Strong proficiency for project scheduling and management.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on safety compliance and team motivation.
- Knowledge of construction best practices, safety regulations, and quality assurance procedures.

Pay: £250.00-£325.00 per day
