Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Practitioner to join our childcare team. We are a smaller early years settings ( childminder) with 12 to 14 children a day. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting children's development through engaging activities, nurturing care, and creating a safe, stimulating environment. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that support children’s developmental milestones.
- Provide high-quality care and supervision for children in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Foster a nurturing environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction.
- Support children’s emotional well-being and behaviour management through positive reinforcement.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress and daily routines.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the nursery or childcare setting.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and daily experiences.
- Assist with organisational tasks such as preparing learning materials and maintaining cleanliness of the environment.
- Support management in implementing policies related to health, safety, and safeguarding.
Experience
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery or early years setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and child development stages.
- Proven management or leadership skills within a childcare context are advantageous.
- Experience in organising activities that promote learning through play.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to liaise effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Valid driving licence is preferred for roles requiring transportation or home visits. Pay: £13.00-£14.00 per hour
