The Role
As a Maintenance Plumber, you will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of planned, reactive and emergency plumbing, heating and hot water maintenance across our customers' buildings.
You will be working as part of a professional and supportive engineering team, delivering a high standard of workmanship while providing excellent customer service.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced plumber who is confident diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs and working independently, while also being a strong team player.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance across a variety of commercial buildings.
- Diagnose plumbing faults and complete repairs efficiently and to a high standard.
- Repair and replace taps, showers, ball valves, gate valves, stop cocks and associated plumbing fixtures.
- Maintain and replace TMVs (Thermostatic Mixing Valves).
- Carry out shower maintenance, including repair and replacement of shower valves.
- Undertake heating and hot water maintenance, including:
- 2-port and 3-port valves
- Mixing valves
- Heating and hot water pumps
- CWS tanks
- Hot water cylinders
- TMVs
- TRVs
- Radiators
- Install, repair and replace heating, hot and cold-water pipework up to 54mm.
- Investigate and repair leaks across plumbing and heating systems.
- Drain down and refill heating, hot and cold-water systems.
- Carry out routine maintenance and emergency plumbing repairs as required.
- Identify faults and recommend appropriate remedial works.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, professionally and in accordance with company procedures.
- Work closely with other Engineers and departments to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Maintain a professional approach when working within customer premises.
- Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with customers and colleagues.
Requirements
- Demonstrate behaviours in line with our company values: Honesty, Professionalism and Quality.
- Proven experience as a Plumbing and Multi Trade engineer – At least 2 years in a relevant role.
- NVQ Level 2-3 Plumbing and Heating.
- HWSS G3 Qualification to work on unvented and vented cylinders is desirable
- Experience with water hygiene-related plumbing work is highly desirable
- Good level of computer skills, ability to use PDA/Compliance system for reporting
- Positive attitude and work ethic.
- Ability to make recommendations from service visits.
- Must have own hand tools of a good quality.
- Clean UK Driving License.
- Clean DBS Record.

Pay: £34,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
